'superset'



-a pair or group of exercises grouped together so that after completion of the first set of the first exercise, without resting you can move to the 1st set of the second exercise. You are now ready to move onto the second set of the first exercise, followed by the second set of the second exercise.

Ex: Workout calls for 'superset' of Chest Press; DB row; Chest Flys


  • Complete prescribed repetitions of Chest Press
  • Compete prescribed repetitions of DB Row;
  • Complete prescribed repetitions of Chest Flys
  • Return to Chest Press as you begin the second set
  • Complete second set of DB Row;
  • Complete the second set of Chest Flys;
  • Return to Chest Press to begin the 3rd set
  • etc....

'DB' -short for dumbell

'BB' -short for barbell
